Why choose a CDS professional

The Certified Design Society is a collection of Certified Kitchen and Bathroom Designers (CKDNZ/CBDNZ) who are professionals qualified by both education and experience to research, design, plan and supervise the installation of kitchens and bathrooms.

Certified Designers must meet specific pre-qualifying criteria to become part of the society, and to maintain membership, submit annual On-going Professional Development points indicating their commitment to on-going education and active involvement in the kitchen and bathroom design industry.

CDS supports designers with this professional development by communicating the latest available products, design solutions, building regulations and design trends in the industry and beyond. The Society includes the most comprehensive directory of New Zealand’s finest designers and industry leaders committed to excellence.

Toni Roberts B.Arch CKDNZ was awarded the Certified Kitchen Designer qualification in May 1997 having completed a minimum of four years industry experience, passed the CKD exam and “demonstrated knowledge and ability in the planning, design and supervision of installed kitchens to the satisfaction of the Society”.
